Tango Talk X: Alfredo De Angelis & Orchestra
Saturday 12th September 3 pm Central Europe - 2 pm UK
Tango Orquesta Tipica's were central to the growth and development of argentine tango from 1920's.
Tango wouldn't be as it is without the influence of some great conductors & orchestras like Pugliese, Disarli, Troilo, D'Arienzo, Canaro, De Caro, Tanturi, Fresedo, Biaggi, D'Agostino, De Angelis, Demare, Calo, Laurenz & more.
In these talks we will explain and identify the fundamental musical, rythmical & expressive elements often used by the conductors & orchestras to create their own unique style and we'll explore some personal, aestetic, social and historical aspects that made them part of the history of tango.
After this talks you will be able to recognise some musical and stylistic aspects of the greatest tango orchestras, get some useful information about their history and understand a bit of the social, personal and historical context where they develop their style
This week we'll talk about Alfredo De angelis & Orchestra
Alfredo De Angelis (2 November 1910, Adrogué — 31 March 1992) was an Argentinian musician, most notable as a composer, a pianist, and a director of a tango orchestra during the Golden Age of Tango.
