Improvers

Maral & Mariano's Improver lessons at Tango Garden are designed to have you understand how things work in Argentine Tango, so you don't have to memorise steps or figures to dance and can improvise. A good grounding is essential for social dancing so we work on strengthening tango technique with exercises at the start of each lesson. We also put a great deal of emphasis on connection and communication, the use and direction of energy and how to allow the dance to happen between two, without force. We explore close and not-so-close embrace during all our classes and discuss different styles, so that you can be versatile and more able to enjoy dancing with different people. We highly recommend that high improvers/low intermediate dancers take this 2-3pm improver level class if they wish to take the 3-4pm intermediate level at Tango Garden in order to strengthen their skills as this 2pm improver lesson is often connected thematically to the 3pm intermediate lessons, many at intermediate level dancers take the improver lesson to benefit from working on the fundamentals before branching out into more complexity in the next lesson. Come alone or with a partner. |
